Earth Day's 40th anniversary

This week we celebrated Earth Day the 40th time; this day was probably coined in the late 1960s when humans realised we are using too much stuff and polluting our environment more than what it can naturally replenish. This was the era during the love and peace movement and mind you, before terms like global warming and climate change was even coined. 40 years down the road, we see a wave of eco-consumerism being so blatently force-thoat into our bloodstream; never before have people's Needs been so sinfully confused with Wants; our wants have become our needs; that's basically the bane of our civilization. Maybe GREED has always been a unique quality of homosapiens; something which the other living species sharing this planet seem to be lacking; together with our so-called intelligence/IQ. I chanced upon a very simple reason by the buddha recently and there's just so much truth in it. 3 questions basically.... "Are things we see, hear, smell, taste, touch and think
