A Day of silence and contemplation...

Wat was planned as a half day affair turn out to be a fruitful and meaningful
way to spend the entire 1st day of 2009; learn many new stretching Yoga moves and Bhante was kind enough to allow 15min break for every 30min of sitting meditation; something i didnt achieve during my 2 weeks retreat recently at Cameron Highlands; i completed the day by completing my "acquisition" of the final buddha (in the background) from the Buddhist Library. Gotten the middle buddha after a 1 day retreat @ SBF in late nov and the smallest one after my 2 week retreat from Sam Poh last week...May everyone who read this blog be well, happy and free from evil thoughts for 2009.

And I've found solace in it as it kind of suits my fiery, impatient and egoistic character. Lately, i chance upon words of wisdom while watching; of all things, the latest rendition of a famous martial arts soap opera by Jin Yong, "Demi-Gods_and_Semi-Devils". I am going back to Crystal Jade Restaurants this evening to serve food; that's where i started off when i came back from india a year ago; the impending CNY double pay of course was a motivating factor, but i have other reasons for doing this... I also met a very promising young dude whilst serving behind the counter at Buddhist Library; i was over-zealous to say the least in tr
